Reflecting on a
Decade of Achievements
๏ปฟThis February marks my tenth anniversary of leading CAPA, and I'm thrilled to reflect on the incredible achievements we've accomplished together over the past decade. Please join me as
I revisit the top ten highlights.
Together, we...
๐Doubled the number of full-time staff and maintained a model workplace culture that values self-care.
๐Expanded our service provision space by more than double, opening a second location and upgrading our therapy playground.
๐Maximized our relationships with local school districts by increasing the number of school-based services while also utilizing technology to reduce barriers to access.
๐Were honored as the non-profit business of the year on both sides of the state line.
๐Began providing virtual services during COVID, reaching as far west as Kansas, allowing us to serve children and families in critical situations.
๐Hosted hundreds of counseling and social work interns from local colleges and universities, helping them develop as future practitioners and fueling the workforce economy in the Kansas City area.
๐Secured financial resources to offer competitive salaries and provide essential training and professional development to our therapists, home visitors, community education team, and leadership team.
๐Embarked on a courageous journey of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, creating an environment at CAPA where everyone feels welcome.
๐More than quadrupled CAPAโs budget and in-kind support, empowering us to serve more children and families.
๐Purposefully built a staff team and board that reflects the diverse communities we serve.
