Dear Parents,

Our staff was filled with love at the Red & Green Door Teacher Appreciation lunch. So many wonderful dishes, all were super happy and so well fed! The list for next week's lunch sponsored by Yellow Door families is up so please those who wish to participate, sign up. With everybody's help our staff will know they are the MOST APPRECIATED on the planet!

This week Nisha and I learned so much at the Childcare Genius Leadership Event. I was able to take special owner/leader classes and Nisha took part in the Director track. As part of her pre Director training, she will be taking part in all meetings with parents and staff to get some great real life experience.

Thank you to all the parents who have reached out to me with their support of changing our annual Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad to be more inclusive for all. I used your feedback to design the May event. The Event will be called Family Day. Each child will be permitted to have up to 2 family members in attendance for a little mini breakfast. In order for us to be able to fit up to 2 family members at each event, we will need to break it up into time slots. There will be a flyer posted, but in case you wish to mark your calendar now and arrange to go to work late, here are the time slots:

May 22

8:00-8:25 Silver and Gold Door classes

8:30-9:00 Purple and Orange Door

May 23

8:00-8:25 Brown and Rainbow Door

8:30-9:00 Yellow and Blue Door

May 24

8:00-8:30 Green and Red Doors

If you are attending the event, please arrive with your child as close as you can to the start time so that families will have 15-20 minutes to spend with their child before we get ready for the second shift. As children finish with their family members, they will be taken to their classrooms where they will be received by a staff member.

If you are unable to attend, please do your best to find a family member who can so that we minimize the number of sad children. I know family members need to get to work so if you only have 5 or 10 minutes we will make sure your gifts and little snacks are ready.

With your help we will have a memorable event for all children. If you have more than one child in the school and cannot come at both times, just let us know and we will arrange to have the siblings gifts brought out at the same time so you can kill 2 birds with one stone...

Finally, we are down to our last couple of slots in the school for the 2024-2025 school year. All families who have paid their first registration installment at the end of March, we have held your space. If you have not done so, please do so as soon as possible. The second of the three installments will appear in your account the last Monday in April and the final one the last Monday in May. If you have another child who is not already here that you need a space for in June or August, please let us know before we are full. Reminder, if your child is not returning for fall, their last day in our program will be on June 6th (JUNE 5th for our Elementary K-2 Kids).
