Course Description: This course introduces participants to accounting for construction and how it differs from regular accounting. It will cover job cost accounting, calculation of over/under billings, job profitability, billing retainage, how to calculate backlog, AIA documents and creation of a simple chart of accounts. The course will also include reviewing sample financial statements, job cost overhead rates, labor burdens. Will also look at accounting software.
