Does the City Actually Recycle? YES!
While there were some disruptions in the recycling markets in the last few years, the City never stopped recycling and continues to save taxpayer money by recycling.

Since 2010, the City has received over $1.2 million dollars in revenue shares from the Solid Waste Authority selling the materials we collect, and $300k a year by avoiding trash disposal costs. Those savings help maintain high levels of service at a low cost to our residents.

For more recycling questions, visit the Recycling webpage.

Teaching Our Children About Public Service
Last Thursday, April 28 was Bring Your Child to Work Day and we had a great turnout! Deputy Mayor Andrea Levine O'Rourke, and Council Members Yvette Drucker and Andy Thomson greeted our employees' children at City Hall and answered questions about the city.

After a group photo, the children went with their parents to help around their offices -- from Police Services and Utility Services to Human Resources and Recreation Services. Thank you to all of the students and parents that participated!
