Have You Registered for the Service Yet & Claimed the £2000 Initial Fixed Payment?


91% of pharmacies across West Yorkshire pharmacies have now registered to provide the service. Has your pharmacy? If not, please sign-up ASAP (you must be able to meet the requirements of the service specification.) and before 11:59pm on Tuesday 30 January 2024 so that you don’t miss out on the £2000 payment. The service will commence on Wednesday 31st January 2024. Please visit the Community Pharmacy England (CPE) Pharmacy First webpage for further information and details of this new service.

 

There’s been a few announcements and updates since our previous Pharmacy First Bulletin so here’s a helpful summary: -

Preparing for Pharmacy First


CPE drop-in sessions CPE is hosting a series of online drop-in sessions to assist pharmacy teams with any queries on the service. The drop-in sessions will be held between 1-2pm on Microsoft Teams on the following dates:


  • Monday 29th January 2024
  • Tuesday 30th January 2024
  • Tuesday 6th February 2024
  • Thursday 8th February 2024

Clinical Pathway videos – these videos, (there’s a separate video for each clinical pathway), will be useful for pharmacists preparing to provide the service. See here.

 

Watch the latest CPE webinar on Pharmacy First (getting ready for launch) – there is now an on-demand recording of the latest CPE webinar which provided practical guidance for preparing for the launch of the service. Both the CPE Pharmacy First webinars (getting to know the service and getting ready for launch) are available to watch  here.

 

Implementation checklists for pharmacy owners and pharmacists have been updated – see here.


PharmOutcomes video – this training video for the service is less than 15 minutes and is a recommended watch for those pharmacies who will be using PharmOutcomes for Pharmacy First. See here.

CPPE


CPPE has a dedicated Pharmacy First page which includes a self-assessment framework for the service. Completing this self-assessment will allow you to identify any additional training needs and support you to address these where necessary (the self-assessment form links directly to suitable learning resources).
