Crossing Disciplines: CMU Offers Two New Additional Majors
Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences teamed up with Mellon College of Science to introduce two new additional majors this fall: Environmental and Sustainability Studies and Health Humanities. Both majors can be paired with any primary major at Carnegie Mellon University.

Dietrich College Staff Nominated for 2021 Andy Awards
This fall, three staff members from the Dietrich College have been nominated in two Andy Awards categories. The ceremony will be livestreamed on the Andy Awards website, Thursday, Nov. 18, from 12 to 1 p.m. Eastern.
 
Eight Seniors Named Andrew Carnegie Society Scholars
Eight seniors from Dietrich College have been named Andrew Carnegie Society (ACS) Scholars. ACS Scholars are undergraduate students who combine high academic standards with extracurricular activities, such as volunteering, playing sports, taking on leadership roles and participating in student organizations and the arts. They are selected each year by their deans and department heads to represent their class in service and leadership.
 
Data for the Win
Around the country when a pro athlete hits a grand slam, catches a touchdown pass, sinks a critical free throw or scores a hat trick, it’s likely a Carnegie Mellon University graduate in the front office helping to make their victory celebration possible.
