RACHEL COLLINS SAYS GOODBYE

Help Us Say Farewell and honor her!
Sunday, May 16th at both services

"Throughout the time I have spent at Messiah, I have been blessed with the opportunity to show God’s love and teach God’s truth to our Jr. High & High School students and have done so with joy, excitement, and through prayer. From the midweek programs and small groups, to missions trips, to Confirmation Sundays and ALL OF THE CAMPS… the past almost 10 years have been a blast!
Over the past few months I have been prayerfully considering my time at Messiah and the future I will have in ministry. After a lot of prayer and discernment, I have determined that my season at Messiah will be coming to a close and my last day will be Friday, May 21st. Over the next few weeks I will be transitioning into a similar role at a church in Brea.
My time at Messiah is one that I will always look back on with fondness and joy. This church has not just been a place to work, but has truly been a family to me. I have grown, not just in my relationship with God while here, but my relationships with all of you. While I am sad to see my time here come to a close, I am excited for the future of this church and myself. I know that God will continue to do BIG THINGS in the lives of the students and I am confident that God has amazing plans already in place for their lives. As this time at Messiah comes to a close, I want all of you to know how grateful and blessed I have been to be a part of many family’s lives. Your students have been the light of my life for so long and I am hopeful that they will continue to become even more amazing people and will bless so many other people with their awesomeness! I look forward to the future and know that God is working for good always!"

CARMEN PEASE SAYS GOODBYE
Help us Say Farewell and honor her!
Sunday, May 30 at both services

"The time has come for me to transition into a different phase of my career as a counselor. I have accepted a position locally and will soon begin this next chapter as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.

Messiah has been my family’s church home for 25 years and my work home for over 16 years. Saying goodbye is not easy, however I know the path that God has set me toward, and I must respond with faithful resound. My role at Messiah as Equipping and Connecting Director has afforded me the highest honor of being a mom to our two children with flexible hours. Macy was three years old and attended Messiah Preschool when I began working here in 2005. It’s been a wonderful environment to work and raise our children.

The staff is Messiah’s greatest asset. There are passion-filled genuine people here who are phenomenal at what they do. I personally have appreciated the freedom I’ve been given to take risks, try new things and have a part in many areas beyond my original position. It’s been an amazing journey that I find difficult to fully express my gratitude for. My time in ministry has led me to this place of passion in counseling the hurting. It was about five years ago when a partner in ministry asked me to meet with them weekly as a life coach. I accepted the challenge and found how much I didn’t know and understand. That was the seed God planted that led me to this moment.

I want to thank the Messiah and all the people who have touched our lives during this journey. You are and will forever be a part of my story. Your support means so much to my family and me. Again, I have been honored to have been a part of the Messiah team for all these years and wish everyone the best."
