Be A Tourist in Your Own Town this Weekend

Destination Seneca County is proud to partner with the Seneca County Bicentennial Committee to bring back Be a Tourist in Your Own Town for a second year! This initiative allows Seneca County residents the opportunity to be immersed in all that the community has to offer during Seneca County’s Bicentennial Year.

During this weekend of April 19, 20, and 21, residents can enjoy free admission to most museums and galleries along with several experiences throughout the county from 12 to 4 PM. Donations are accepted and encouraged. Learn more at SenecaTourist.com!

The Humane Society of Seneca County had approximately 500 dogs and cats adopted in 2023. It's a wonderful organization and this is one of their fundraisers for 2024. We had a packed house last week for our Canva Quickstart+ Power Hour with our, Director of Marketing, Marisa Stephens. We aim to empower our members to take their organization to the next level by giving them the tools needed to create their own marketing materials.

Join the Fostoria Area Historical Society for the world premiere of Dillinger on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 at The BANKquet Hall, 125 South Main Street in downtown Fostoria. The premiere date is on the 90th anniversary of the robbery.

On Friday the doors will open at 6 PM with bank tours and cash until 6:45 PM. Dinner will be served along with a 50/50 starting at 6:45 with the movie beginning at 7:30 PM. On Saturday the doors will open at 6 PM with bank tours and cash bar until 7 PM. The movie will begin at 7 PM.

Tickets are $50 for Friday night and $20 for Saturday night. Tickets can be purchased at Calico Charlie's Candy & More at 206 South Main Street. Their hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM. Tickets can be purchased with cash or check payable to the Fostoria Area Historical Society. Seating is limited and attendees are encouraged to purchase their tickets quickly.
