Sando Lecture 2022
After a hiatus due to COVID, the second Sando Lecture was held on April 11, 2022. Hosted by the Eye & Ear Foundation and the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh, this year’s lecture featured Akira Ishiyama, Professor of Otolaryngology, Director of Head and Neck Surgery, David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. He spoke on temporal bone histopathology following cochlear implantation.

Project Theia

When Kathryn Sedory, a nurse in the UPMC Eye Center’s Minor Procedure Room, was asked by co-worker Dr. Jenny Yu-Will to join her on a medical mission trip to Ghana in 2017, her first reaction was, “Of course!”

Her second reaction was to ask, “Where am I going and what am I doing?”

Meet New EEF Team Member, Christine Wilson

Christine Wilson has joined the Eye & Ear Foundation as our new Program Administrator. In this role, Christine will serve as the Database Administrator and technical support for the Foundation team. She will also take on administrative responsibilities such as webinars and events management.
