Annual Rockport Nautical Flea Market
May 7-8, 2022

Hosted at Rockport Harbor by Rockport Yacht Club. Come join the Nautical Flea Market fun! Nautical Items will include, fishing, sailing, power boating, windsurfing, scuba, new & used parts, tools, motors, rods, reels, sails, nautical art, new & used boats, dinghies, & kayaks. Buy, sell, or trade!

Open 10 am - 5pm Saturday, and 10 am - 4 pm Sunday. $5 entrance fee each day. Children under 12 are free! No alcohol may be brought into the gates & no dogs are allowed.

The History Center for Aransas County
May 5, 11:30 am, Docent Training for "Unsung Heroines," become a docent at the History Center! Docent training is offered before each exhibit, we'll walk you through your first shift on duty, 3 hours on Saturday or Sunday.
May 6, 5:30 pm, "Unsung Heroines" exhibit opening, this spring exhibit will open with a keynote speech by Kathryn Childers. This exhibit will feature posters about women pioneers, Harriet Fulton, twentieth century mavens, women who served, leaders for the community, arts on the coast, fashion, women's networks, and elected officials.
May 13, 6 pm, Historic Preservation Awards Ceremony, Three awards will be given in 2022. The first to Jackie Shaw for her dedication to get the Stella Maris Chapel preserved. The second to Ty Husak for his documentation of the move of the Kline’s café building. And the Rockport Cultural Arts District (RCAD) for their restoration of the Rockport SAAP depot. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the History Center, the Ar. Co. Historical Commission, and the Ar. Co. Historical Society.

Aransas County Crime Stoppers
May 21, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm, Keep It Safe MC Ride, this motorcycle gathering and ride will include a ride along the beach/waterfront, Aransas National Wildlife Refuge and the circumference of Aransas County. We will have light snacks and drinks before the ride and a hearty lunch upon return. Bikes will meet at Market Center (610 E. Market St. - site of old City Hall) at 8:30 and depart at 9AM. Return time is approximately 2-2 1/2 hours later. Corpus Christi Harley Davidson will help sponsor this event. We will have vendors, door prizes and raffle. A donation of $20 per bike and $10 per passenger (under 16 free) is requested. FAITH Riders MC will be helping out with this event coordination for the ride. Aransas National Wildlife Refuge

Community Aquatic Park
Classes include Water Aerobics, Water Walking, and Lap Swim. Located at 2001 Stadium Dr. The park houses an 8 lane, 25-yard pool (heated to 86 degrees) and diving area, a bathhouse, towel warmer, and swimsuit dryer. Memorial Park
Check out the Disc golf course intertwining among the oak trees. Memorial Park is located at 1601 FM 2165 (Pearl St.) in Rockport. The park includes a 6000 sq. ft. modular skate park. Consisting of more than 100 acres, the Park includes 1.65 miles of Hike and Bike trails and a 3/4-mile nature trail with interpretive signs, and rest benches. Soccer fields, basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, off-leash dog parks, playscapes and fitness stations, birding sites, and picnic facilities serve a wide variety of interests throughout the year.
