Train testing throughout the 9-mile Arrow corridor has begun and will continue until service starts later this year. Metrolink and DMU trains will be used to test the tracks, signals at the crossings, and communication systems. For safety, and in compliance with the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations, horns (two long, one short, one long) and bells will sound at street crossings throughout the 9-mile corridor during testing.
For the next few weeks testing will occur Monday through Saturday during daytime and nighttime hours. Roadway and pedestrian gates will be in full operation to provide traffic and pedestrian control at each of the intersections/crossings. If needed, flaggers and safety personnel will be onsite to assist with motorists and pedestrians at the intersections/crossings.
Southern California Edison will be performing work on Monday, May 2, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. at the Colton Avenue grade crossing. There will be intermittent lane closures during this time. Flaggers will be onsite.
Please remember train testing is dynamic and the schedule may change.
