Program for Early Research Career Development

BU CTSI NIH Diversity Supplement

BU CTSI Application/Expression of Interest Deadline: Sep. 16, 2022

The BU CTSI seeks to submit to the NIH two diversity supplements to our current Clinical and Translational Science Institute award. The goal of these supplements is to build a diverse clinical and translational research workforce that is prepared to improve the quality, safety, efficiency, and speed of clinical and translational science research nationally. The overarching goal of the BU CTSI Pilot Grant Program is to help investigators explore and solve major challenges in translational science, especially those that address the special health problems of our urban communities, by developing and deploying new tools, methods and processes to expedite clinical and translational research and discovery. BU CTSI NIH Diversity Supplement Matching Initiative

The BU CTSI is committed to increasing our institution’s biomedical researcher diversity by connecting eligible early career scientists with Principal Investigators who have grants eligible for Diversity Supplements. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) funds Supplements to Promote Diversity in an effort to expand research opportunities for faculty, postdocs, and students from underrepresented groups and promote inclusive excellence at BU/BMC. This Program supports the short-term needs of investigators that are not otherwise covered by grants. Vouchers are intended to enable preliminary work, generate data for new or ongoing projects, and/or secure fee-based core services for consultation services. Learn More
