Hi folks,
As we wrap up Staff Appreciation Week, we wanted to thank our parent community for their generous donations this week. The lounge was nicely decorated all week and we had an abundance of food and treats each day to celebrate the work of our incredible staff this year. Thanks for making this week feel special and for your ongoing support of our NBJH staff members.
Enjoy the weekend...

8th Grade Families
We're down to our final three weeks with this Class of 2021, and we're excited to end the year on a high note. We appreciate the quick response about your attendance at the May 30th ceremony and we are also coordinating with our PTO volunteers to plan for an outdoor celebration the afternoon of Friday, May 28th at NBJH. Expect communication early next week with all of the details about graduation rehearsal (the morning of Friday, May 28th), the outdoor celebration that same afternoon, iPad and textbook returns and how we will manage tickets for the graduation ceremony.
7th Grade Families
Our elective teachers will be sharing a video with students in the next week or so, so they have a clear understanding of the elective course offerings for 8th grade. Following the showing of the video, students will be asked to make selections for next year. We expect the video to be shown and the selection process to take place the week of May 17th.
Charity of Choice Fundraiser
Did you know that Graeter's ice cream tastes even better when a portion of the sales goes to NBJH? It's true, and on Wednesday, May 19th from 5-9p.m. you can experience it first hand when Graeter's donates 20% of all sales to NBJH. We'll give it to our Charity of Choice, the Northfield Township Food Pantry. You'll need to show this flier (on paper or your device).
No Spring MAP Testing
The District has made the decision to only complete fall and winter MAP (NWEA) testing this year. There will not be a spring MAP testing window for our students.
STEM Camp
Any current 6th or 7th graders interested in a free two-day STEM camp...we have a great opportunity! The GBN Career & Technical Education (CTE) Department is offering a FREE STEM minicamp June 7-8. Registration opens at 11a.m. on May 7. Check out the flyer under Virtual Backpack!
Student Council for 2021-2022
