Your new payment plan will be made available in late May.

Surveys to be Administered to Students

Join AHN in Honoring Helen Spiro at Spring Gala

Read the Spring Issue of Connections

The Mount Rushmore of beloved figures at Holy Names is so extensive, you’d need more than one range to include them all. This year’s recipient of the John H. Farrell “Building the Future” Award at the AHN Spring Gala is surely among them.

On Friday, May 3 we will be celebrating 140 years of excellence, and honoring Helen Caulfield Spiro '78 at the Gala.

You can read more about Helen here and in the spring issue of the alumnae newsletter Connections.

The evening includes:

Cocktail Reception * Open Bar * Dinner * Auction* Paddle Raise * DJ & Dancing

This Week at AHN

Congratulations to our resident high-flier, Ella Hennessey '28, who vaulted into the USA Gymnastics Eastern Championships next month in Myrtle Beach with her performance at regionals this weekend. Way to go!

At the last Lenten prayer service before Easter break, students each received a rock representing their sins. Now, students in Mrs. Eller’s seventh grade class are painting theirs as a symbol of the resurrection of Jesus and his forgiveness. The rocks will be placed outside the school’s entryway.

The junior class had its retreat Thursday, and was joined by a special guest: Amy McDonnell, mom of Molly '19, Maggie '25, and Rosie '26. Amy led the class in a session of restorative yoga, using breathwork to calm their bodies and minds.

She says the technique can be helpful as the girls navigate the changes ahead in their senior year, including applying to colleges and moving away to school.

Thanks to Michelle LaVoy from First New York Federal Credit Union, who visited with students in grade eight on Thursday and taught them the finer points of financial literacy, including how to balance a budget.

Holy Names Selects New Chief Financial Officer

Graubart will begin his service Monday, April 22.

Dr. Martin Kilbridge announced today the appointment of Steven Graubart as Chief Financial Officer.

"I am delighted to welcome Mr. Graubart to the Holy Names community. Dr. Kilbridge said. "He has the experience to continue to provide sound fiscal oversight for Holy Names and to secure our vision for the future.”

Mr. Graubart received his bachelor's in business administration from the State University at Albany. A veteran Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Graubart comes to Holy Names having most recently served as CFO and Treasurer of the Daily Gazette in Schenectady.

"I am excited to be embarking on this new chapter with Academy of the Holy Names,” Graubart said. “I look forward to working with families to help make a Holy Names education more accessible for their children and ensuring a prosperous future for AHN."
