We always say that when looking for a home that you're going to be living in, what's most important to everyone? Moreover is location, you can't change that. You can always remodel. A home in the perfect location that may need work done, to me, is way better than an updated move-in ready home, but not exactly where you'd like the home to be. What do you think?
