SECOND COLLECTION
Our second collection May 8th-9th will be for the Catholic Home Missions. Your donation helps support the dioceses in the U.S and its territories that face fragile financial situations, vast distances or difficult terrain that affects the ability to offer the most basic pastoral programs. ADA-JOURNEYING TOGETHER IN HOPE
We are on our final weeks of the 2021 Annual Diocesan Appeal! If you have not yet made your pledge, please prayerfully consider. Amount received beyond our goal will be a rebate to the parish.
We have collected $293,045 which is 110% of the Diocesan goal and 101% of our parish goal with the support of 444 pledges. Gifts can be made at our parish office or diocesan website here. Pentecost is May 23, our Holy Spirit Feast Day Commemorating Christ’s gift of the Spirit which animates
our actions of service and praise! Welcome the Spirit with song, scripture and imaginative prayer May 12 and 19 at 7pm in the church. Limited in-person seating RSVP here. It will also be livestreamed on the Parish website.
NAME BADGES
In preparation for Pentecost Sunday and for us to be more welcoming to one another at Mass, we are offering one free name badge per parishioner (until supplies run out). Submit your request online here between May 8th and May 14th

May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

Holy Spirit Parish will be recognized as one of 20 congregations in Santa Clara County for working to reduce stigma associated with mental illness. Tune into the local NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) Tuesday, May 11, at 7pm to be inspired by other faith communities making strides! Register here
PARISH ACTIVITIES
Vacation Bible School (VBS) Registration
All Kinder through 5th graders are invited to join us in person for a week of discovery on Adventure Island, where they will learn about the Light of God’s love, shining upon them! It will be the week of June 14th-June 18th. The link will remain open until May 16th. Adult volunteers and teachers are needed. Due to Covid-19 protocols, space is limited. Register here.
YOUTH MINISTRY
3sixty High School Ministry
As the academic year rapidly approaches, we will be having a special senior send-off on Sunday, May 23rd. This will be in-person at 4:30pm out in the church courtyard. All high schoolers, especially, our graduating seniors are welcome to attend
Edge Middle School Ministry
As the ministry year draws to an end, we are looking at offering an in-person Edge gathering to wrap up and celebrate our year. Stay tuned for more information for the date and for safe protocols.
SOCIAL MINISTRIES
Shower Ministry for the Homeless – Help Needed
The Holy Spirit Shower Ministry is providing showers for Safe Car Parks in church parking lots in Santa Clara County. Many of the people in this program work, buy stay in their cars in the safety of a church parking lot. All guests are screened. Holy Spirit provides showers on Wednesday nights, help with laundry, and occasional transport.
