January 2023

Hello 4-H Family,

Happy New Year!!

We have one new change for the new year. We will no longer have Regpack and we are so happy. We are getting a new enrollment system. So...everyone will have to re-enroll in 4-H just like any other year, but instead of Regpack we will be using the Daxko system. Please be patient as we use this new system it will be new to all of us. To register for any new event starting Jan 1, 2023 the 4-H member must be registered in the new system. The new system is not ready but will be soon. I will send out an announcement when it is ready.

If you have any questions about anything please call me at the office or you can email me. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Programs, Events, Camps and More

NEW County Award Process

We wanted to come up with a fair way to recognize our 4-H members yearly at our awards ceremony. We came up with this form or incentive sheet. It was developed for 4-H members to keep track of their activities for the year. Each activity, camp, etc. a 4-H member is involved with throughout the year will be document on this form. It will also help with completing a record book at the end of the year.

There are two forms one for Junior 4-H members and one for Senior 4-H members please be sure to use the correct form. Cloverbuds are exempt from this process and will be recognized at the awards ceremony with a special award. If you have any questions please let me know. The links below will take you to the correct form. If you need the form emailed to you please let me know and I will be happy to send it to you.

Monthly Community Service Project

Please let me know if you or your club participates in the monthly community service projects or others.

Ross Photography Contest

This contest provides an opportunity for Arkansas 4-H'ers to demonstrate, compete and exhibit their photography skills. All 4-H members age 9-19 are eligible. At the county level, each 4-H member may enter two color photographs (one must be in the living category and one must be in the non-living category - if two are entered) and two black-and-white photographs (one must be in the living category and one must be in the non-living category, if two are entered). Four county winners are selected from those entries, one in each category – these will be submitted to the state level.

Entries should be email to kdraper@uada.edu by March 31, 2023. Please include the category with each picture.

State Horse Judging Contest: April 15th at Pauline Whitaker in Fayetteville - deadline to enter 4/5/23

Central State Qualifying Show: June 6th at White County Fairgrounds, Searcy - deadline to enter 5/24/23

Southwest State Qualifying Show: June 9th at Saline County Fairgrounds, Benton - deadline to enter 5/24/23

Northwest State Qualifying Show: June 10th at Pauline Whitaker Arena in Fayetteville - deadline to enter 5/24/23

State Horse Show: July 18-20 at White County Fairgrounds, Searcy - deadline to enter 6/28/23

Southern Regionals: August 2-6 at Perry, GA - Must register before leaving the State 4-H Horse Show
