SANDI ANDERSON LUT REFECTIONS!!

action4prayers:

We are coming up on a very important month. MAY! In my family it is big for birthdays, & Mother's Day. For Unity: May is equated with "Power" one of the Twelve Powers described by Charles Fillmore. We express our Power ability in the following ways.

Concentration: our power to have single-mindedness on a particular idea, or belief: like World peace, or Gratitude. When you are thinking of things, the Divine hear's the vibrations and responds.

Self-mastery: is the capacity to guide thoughts, words and actions with integrity with our inner Divine self, and not react from our ego's impulses.

Spiritual Authority: is your inward call for spiritual authority. You command by words or just "Being the presence of Divine. "Let there be or Let me be (strong)..

I invite you to your sacred heart space to think of your mother, father or another compassionate person who supported and nurtured you unconditionally on your life's path. Think of how you use thoughts, words or presence to command Divine Power and shine your Light in the world.

" I am grateful to all of the spiritual mothers who have nurtured and loved me in my life."

Sandi Anderson LUT

WE NEED YOU TO CO-LEAD OUR GROUNDS TEAM!!

Unity of Eau Claire is seeking an individual to serve under an informal mentorship (or outright team leadership) as I step back from my co-leadership of the garden/grounds team with Mari Jackson.

My primary responsibility has been to serve as a 'project manager'......"find or be presented with a project and assemble a team of workers/obtain materials."  Examples might include projects such as erecting additional garden fence panels, building/repairing garden benches, power washing the building, etc. The mentorship idea would be to have an individual gain familiarity with possible needed projects and understanding the process of project initiation.

As a FYI I have included a list of overall garden duties in the attached document These are tasks that are needed to be accomplished by the entire garden/grounds team and not specific to this request. These one-time and periodic task 'checklist' are posted in the storage room and in the vinyl shed as a guide for ANY garden/grounds worker as to what is needed to be completed each season.

HELP BEAUTIFICY THE GARDEN AND GROUND

Help is needed in the garden and grounds every other Friday and every other Saturday. This Friday we need help getting mulch down and the next workday is Saturday May 16th. For more details contact,  Mari Jackson at 715-530-3256 or [email protected]

On March 19-20, the Board of Trustees and other Unity of Eau Claire leaders enjoyed an excellent workshop by Rev. Greg Coles: Board & Leadership Skills Workshop. We experienced a short presentation on Friday evening that continued for the day on Saturday.   From my perspective, we were encouraged by Rev. Greg's evaluation of how our Board is doing in relation to what we have accomplished especially during covid and without a minister's guidance. Our President, Sue Carlson, and our Administrative Coordinator, Timothy Haukeness, were given credit. The following questions were raised and are of value to our Board: What is the Board's to do?, What is mine to do?, What should others do? What is the minister's to do? and What is God's to do? This list of questions is being discussed at our upcoming meetings. We were inspired with Rev. Greg's words: "We Are A Bridge" suggesting that everything will not go smoothly during our transition. It means we simply have to be: Alive, Aware and Awake!

If anyone is interested in reading the workshop handout, please let me know.

What Unity Is Doing

The spiritual principles taught in Unity guide us to recognize God's presence in ourselves. We believe every person has sacred worth.

Unity also teaches that we must put our prayers into action.

Though we may not have all of the answers, our commitment and calling at Unity to help and serve has never been more steadfast or strong. We are working as hard as we can to:
  • Provide a platform for the voices of change to be heard
  • Create a safe container that is steeped in spiritual principle
  • Listen deeply, grieve, pray, connect with empathy, have dialogue, share information, and lift the consciousness and the conversation

A Prayer for Abundant Justice and Love

As one in divine presence, we embrace our common humanity. We are held in the loving arms of Spirit, and we rise above fear to walk in love, faith, and peace.

We release any beliefs that divide us and turn to one another with understanding. Wisdom reveals the path to healing for our communities.
With unity of purpose, we create justice, equality, and peace for all people.
In the abundance of God, there is enough-enough love, enough peace, and enough freedom-for all to live together as one.

We hold this vision of healing and harmony for ourselves, our communities, and our world.

-Trayce Riley
