From the Pastor
We experienced another great day of worship this past Sunday! It was exciting to open the 11:00 service with the baptism of Aiden Chilton. And, in that service, one of our teens, Landen Jacobson, made a profession of faith! God continues to move, and it is especially exciting to see all that He is doing among our students through the ministry of Bro. Austin.

It was special to finally be able to conduct an ordination service this past Sunday evening for Mike Breland, James Carroll, and Dallas Penton. Thank you to all who came to support them, and thank you to the men who participated in the laying-on of hands portion of the service.

This Thursday, May 6th, is the National Day of Prayer. I want to encourage you to take your lunch break or some other intentional, designated time that day, to pause and pray for our nation. This year’s theme is, “Lord pour out Your LOVE, LIFE, and LIBERTY.” The theme Scripture verse is 2 Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” You can read more at https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/. If you are in town and are able, I want to invite you to attend the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast at the Crosby Commons Thursday morning, 8:00 – 9:00am. I am among those who have been asked to read a Scripture passage and pray. The coming together of God’s people to pray is powerful, and our nation is in desperate need of these prayers. I hope you will participate.

I announced this past Sunday that beginning on Mother’s Day, May 9th, we will take down the ropes in the 8:30am service that had limited seating to 50% of capacity. We have also removed the 60+ age designation for that service. Anyone may now attend either service, and I hope to see you in the service of your choice this Sunday!

To God be the Glory!
Dan
