Troubleshoot Your Sleep to Make it More Restful 

Medical News:

SLEEP HEALTH

A study in the journal of Sleep Medicine shows that negative emotions alters the area of the brain that affects quality of sleep.


Tip: Make a gratitude list and put it next to your bed so you can focus on positive emotions before you hit the sack.


Studies show that exposure to outdoor light in the morning hours improves mood and alertness, helps you fall sleep faster, and is associated with lower body weight.


Tip: Go outside for a short walk or in the morning and leave your sunglasses at home! 

HEART HEALTH

An article in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology reports that intake of ½ tablespoon or more of olive oil is associated with a 20% decrease in death from heart disease and a 29% decrease in death from dementia and other neurological diseases, and a 17% decrease risk of death from cancer.
