Watch a Video from GGUSD's Superintendent about the Safety of In-Person Instruction
All GGUSD schools are open for in-person instruction and in the fall, we will return to 5 FULL days of in-person instruction for all students!

Please take a moment to watch this video from Superintendent Dr. Gabriela Mafi to learn more about the importance and safety of in-person instruction! Click here for the video.

Since reopening for in-person instruction, we have seen first-hand the effectiveness of our COVID-19 prevention efforts! Our health and safety protocols are working to keep our students healthy and well! COVID-19 cases are low and isolated and there has been NO on-campus spread of COVID-19.

Families who prefer an online option in the fall must apply for the district's Virtual Learning Academy. Click here for more information about the application process.

GGUSD Celebrates Four 2021 CA Distinguished Schools
La Quinta High School was recognized as a 2021 California Distinguished School in an announcement by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond on April 27. This is in addition to Bell, Irvine and McGarvin intermediate schools that were named 2021 California Distinguished Schools in March.

Bell, Irvine, McGarvin and La Quinta were among only 21 schools in Orange County and just over 220 across the state to receive the prestigious recognition. Schools are awarded for achieving exceptional student performance or closing the achievement gap. This year, nearly one-fifth of the Orange County schools recognized were from GGUSD and each year, GGUSD consistently has more schools on the list than any district in Orange County.

GGUSD High Schools Named among America's Best
For the fourth year in a row, all seven of GGUSD's comprehensive high schools earned a spot on the U.S. News and World Report's elite rankings of America's Best High Schools.

On the 2021 list of America’s Best High Schools, GGUSD’s high schools ranked in the top 662 in California, top 266 in the Los Angeles metro area, and top 4,500 nationally from nearly 18,000 ranked schools.

La Quinta Students Earn Top Honors in State Contest

Are You Filling Out The ParentSquare Health Screening Form?
One of our important health and safety protocols is the implementation of a daily Health Screening Form on ParentSquare. All parents are expected to submit the ParentSquare form each morning to confirm that their child(ren) do not come to school with symptoms of COVID-19 or recent exposure.

In order to use the daily Health Screening Form on ParentSquare, parents must first “activate” their ParentSquare account. Click here for a video on how to “activate” your ParentSquare account. Thank you for doing your part to keep our school communities safe.
