CLAS is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant.
Under the guidance of the Assistant Director, the CLAS Administrative Assistant position contributes to the international dimension of OSU by providing administrative and programming support to CLAS. The position is responsible for drafting communications, maintaining spreadsheet databases, preparing presentations, reports and other materials. Additional duties consist of assisting with the coordination and scheduling of programs such as conferences, lecture series, film series, and more; coordinating travel logistics for visiting speakers and scholars. Marketing and communications duties include assisting with the Center's website, print and electronic newsletters, and other materials, and answering inquiries from the public. The position will also assist other staff with university business travel needs, expense reports, payable and vendor-related requests, procurement card, calendaring, and meeting arrangements.
The preferred candidate will have experience in working with university funds and sponsored projects accounting and processing, including review of financial statements and reporting. In support of the Center's fundraising initiatives, the Administrative Assistant assists with grant proposal and budget development, grant reporting, and grant-funded program implementation.
Proficiency in Spanish strongly desired.
Target wages: $21-$25 per hour.
