The RT-AFF Board of Directors is changing as three longstanding board members retired in January. Please help us thank Jean Edwards, Julie Hill and Bruce Jolly for their many years of service. You can read about how they have helped lead RT-AFF in a story below. Andrew Dumont is continuing as Chair and we are pleased to announce that Scott E. Brideau, Shanton Kittler and Christopher Gribbs were elected to the leadership team.
National Rebuilding Day (NRD) is April 30, 2022 and our program staff are out in the field meeting homeowners and assessing their homes so we can match their needs with NRD teams. Would you like to become a partner and put together a team for National Rebuilding Day? Please email or call me at 571-933-6429 for more information.
Our RT Express volunteers are adding projects to their to-do lists too. If you'd like to share your skills and join our RT Express group please complete a Volunteer Profile and we'll add you to our Volunteer Opportunities email list. You can volunteer occasionally, or you can volunteer weekly - whatever fits your schedule. Most of our RT Express work is done during the week but we plan to have some Saturday projects to accommodate volunteers' work schedules. If you have specific questions about volunteering please call our office or email us at info@rebuildingtogether-aff.org
I'm really proud of all the work we have been doing and my heart is filled by the notes and letters of gratitude from homeowners we have been able to help thanks to your support.

RT-AFF Builds Ramps to Help People with Disabilities
Remain in their Homes
Ramps are critical to help many homeowners with disabilities safely enter and leave their homes. RT-AFF volunteers and staff have built five ramps since July 2021. Some of the homeowners we've helped were unable to get out of their homes for critical medical appointments without the assistance of first responders or very strong friends to lift them. Other homeowners risked falling each time they left their homes, so they became isolated. The ramps we build allow homeowners to safely leave their homes without fear. Ramps allow them to make more trips to get medical care, make more choices in their daily activities, reconnect with family and friends and safely age in place. Continue reading
