New activities at 'Love Your Greenway Day'

I n conjunction with Friends of the Richmond Greenway (FORG), Urban Tilth will be hosting "Love your Greenway Day" every 2nd Saturday of the month all along the Greenway. Last month, community members worked on improving the gardens, bioswales, seating areas, playground and bike trails. Many exciting activities and workshops will take place next month as well.

Getting Wild About Water Quality at Wildcat Creek

The Watershed Program Crew has been working hard the past couple of months to restore the habitat at Wildcat Creek, by removing invasive species, picking up trash, and spreading seed of native riparian plants.

Additionally, the team has been hosting community creek clean-up days to share the work they are doing and help familiarize residents with the natural, local ecosystem.

Highlights of an Eventful Food Week 2015

So much happened at Richmond's 1st ever "Food Week"! There were free health screenings, produce giveaways at several events and even a proclamation made at Richmond's City Council.
