Tai Tokerau Trades Training Monthly Newsletter -
April 2022
Hapaitia te ara tika pumau ai te rangatiratanga mo nga uri whakatipu.
Foster the pathway of knowledge to strength, independence, and growth for the future .
Naumai, haere mai, whakatau mai!
Tai Tokerau Trades Training celebrated our second year of operation this month on the 1st April 2022.
Reflecting over the past two years, we look back and see all the mahi we have undertaken, which has been so incredibly rewarding. Being able to work amongst our many high schools and kura in Tai Tokerau with passionate and committed school teams to support our taitamariki with career choices is indeed a privilege. To the many ākonga we have worked with, it has been exciting to see their enthusiasm. What a great job working in the EEB space!
A special acknowledgement to Roimata and her amazing EEB team from the rest of the Tai Tokerau Trades Training team as EEB was the spearhead for us as a company and continues to lead the way.
We extend our grateful thanks to all the schools, industry and everyone else connected within our EEB whanau mahi for your support, encouragement, commitment and for helping make this service a success. Without all of you we could never have achieved what we have.

Nga mihi nui kia koutou katoa.

The wider Tai Tokerau Trades Training team work across a number of projects now in Tai Tokerau and you might see our cars around visiting industry and ākonga we have in other contracts. We are indeed blessed to have a great team of kaimahi working for us. We also now have a team working across Auckland on providing small business support, which has been an exciting addition since our first anniversary.

We are looking forward to seeing what the future brings. With this in mind, we wish all our stakeholders the very best over the next 12 months as we continue to work together with you all.
EEB Team out and about
We want to extend an early happy Easter to you all!

Our EEB team has thoroughly enjoyed this last month, continuing on with their mahi in getting out and about to our schools in Te Tai Tokerau.

We know everyone is still adjusting to these confusing times we’ve been in for two years now! But we would like to commend you all for your efforts and hard work.
We hope you all enjoy the school holidays with the colder months approaching. We look forward to supporting your schools further with the return of Term 2.

Tai Tokerau Trades Training will be operating through the term break, so feel free to contact the team for support with school and industry engagement.

Outward Bound Scholarships - Whakatipu Course 2022
Northland is lucky enough to have substantial scholarships available for the upcoming Whakatipu course, running from June 21st - June 28th this year. This programme would be excellent for secondary students who are pursuing a vocational pathway.

The value of the scholarships is $3,246 per person which leaves a remaining fee of $250 each, as well as the additional costs of transport to Picton for course start and the cost of getting our medical form completed.
Nominations and bios for the students are due by late March-early April.
