New library catalog launches today!
Hello, library friends --

Good news! It's now easier than ever to find the library materials you want with the new Northern Waters Library Network online catalog!

The Merlin Library catalog had served us well for almost 20 years, but it was well past time for an update. Our new catalog launches today and offers a great new interface.

  • See all the formats of a title in one place
  • Easily see what book comes next in a series
  • Manage your holds on physical library items AND digital titles
  • Request books, movies, audiobooks, and any library items from the 28 libraries in the Northern Waters Library Network.

Need help learning your way around the new system? Stop by and ask - we're happy to show you the new features.

Library mask policy

Our library will continue to follow the recommendations of federal, state, and local health officials when making decisions about library services. Per the policy of the Mercer Public Library Board of Trustees, all visitors ages 5 and older are required to wear masks inside the building.

If you are keeping yourself isolated to avoid the pandemic or can't wear a mask for any reason, we are happy to accommodate you with curbside library services. We can provide library materials; copying, faxing and scanning services; notary services (when available); and other library services. Just call us at 715-476-2366 to let us know what you need, and we'll be happy to help.

You can also take advantage of our online services with your library card number. Visit our website at www.mercerpubliclibrary.org for links to our digital collection of e-books and audiobooks, Gale Courses, Ancestry Library Edition, and Badgerlink resources.
