THE SUN CENTER AT LAKE OCONEE EYE CARE
ST. MARY'S HEART & SOUL GALA
Lake Oconee Eye Care is a proud Community Sponsor of the 2023 St. Mary's Heart and Soul Gala. The Gala is the largest annual fundraiser for St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital. We stand strong in support of our local hospital to offer our community services, physicians, staff and technology rarely found in communities our size. We'd like to invite the lake area community to consider joining us.

Unfortunately, individual tickets to this event have been sold out, but you still have the opportunity to join our waitlist or participate as a community sponsor!
FEATURED BRAND - RAG & BONE
From its origins in New York in 2002, Rag & Bone instantaneously distinguished itself by combining British heritage with directional, modern design.

Today, the brand has become synonymous with innately wearable clothing that innovatively melds classic tailoring with an edgy yet understated New York aesthetic.

LAKE OCONEE EYE CARE BIRTHDAYS
We'd like to recognize our wonderful staff who share birthdays in November and December! Thank you for your dedication to the Lake Oconee Eye Care team. Make sure to give these staff members some extra gratitude next time you see them in the office!

The human eye is a complicated organ and many disorders can affect its function.

Retinal detachment is a serious and sight-threatening condition that affects one in every 300 people at some time in their lives. It can be treated with early action, but first, patients need to be able to recognize the warning signs.

Sleep deprivation hits the body and mind a lot like alcohol, but how does it affect our eyes?

Getting enough sleep is great for our overall health and our eye health alike. At the other end of things, we can improve the quality of our sleep if we are more careful about what we put in front of our eyes before we go to bed.

Uncontrolled diabetes can wreak havoc on health in many ways, including eye health.

All types of diabetes increase the risk of developing eye diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, glaucoma, and cataracts. Diabetes is one of the world's leading causes of blindness.
