Check your municipality's bank account soon for a deposit labeled "ARPA-SLFR Reallocation of Remaining Funds" and be sure to report it when the time comes.


Energy Tax Credits Available for Municipalities Beginning CY 2022

In 2022, did your municipality complete a renewable energy generation or EV charging project or purchase alternative fuels or a clean energy vehicle? If so, you might be able to monetize a tax credit. Email ffa@vlct.org for details, and keep these tax credits in mind for future years!


National Culvert Removal, Replacement & Restoration Grants

These grants are for projects that would meaningfully improve or restore fish passage for anadromous fish (e.g., salmon, brown and lake trout, sturgeon). Projects require a transportation nexus and may last up to five years. Cost share is 20 percent. Applications can bundle several projects or be submitted by multiple entities jointly and are due 02/06 in Grants.gov. Apply now or plan for next year.


Governor Seeks Employer Feedback on Voluntary Paid Leave Program

The Vermont Family and Medical Leave Insurance Plan (VT-FMLI) will be available to employers with two or more employees beginning July 1, 2024. Consider taking a few minutes to take a short survey.
