Invitation to the Balkan Forum on Nuclear Disarmament

Balkan Forum on Nuclear Disarmament

Pathways To Peace is pleased to invite you to the Balkan Forum on Nuclear Disarmament on August 25th, 11:00 AM CET,  at the Bunk Art 1' Museum in Tirana, Albania. The conference will focus on nuclear disarmament in the Balkan region, the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), peacebuilding, and strengthening overall nuclear disarmament policies.

You can attend in-person or virtually by registering here  https://bit.ly/451IFvN

The agenda includes invited officials, activists, policy experts, and the Red Cross Association of Albania to serve as additional panelists. We will be partnering with Bunk Art 1’ Museum to have the conference in their Assembly Hall. Having the conference in the museum is a powerful way to send a message to various regional governments and civil society organizations that nuclear weapons are still a major issue, and that they must take action for nuclear disarmament.

With the ongoing war in Ukraine, the expansion of the nuclear sharing program in Belarus, and the lack of substantive action from nuclear-armed states, it is critical for regional governments and civil society to take collective action.

We would be honored to have your presence in attendance among other distinguished guests during the conference.

We look forward to seeing all of you at the Balkan Forum on Nuclear Disarmament!
