We have some exciting updates!
Construction is booming on the Eastside as the 12 affordable homes on Bennett Street are coming along and we can't wait to show you!

Brickwork is continuing along the front of the 7 townhouses at Amala Way I (pictured top header) while siding on the rear of the property (pictured top) is complete.

Work on the interior including plumbing, electric, and HVAC rough-ins (pictured middle) is also underway.

But wait, there's more!

Framing on the 5 townhouses at Amala Way II (pictured bottom) is coming to completion as well. How exciting?!

Give back, get back!
With the Neighborhood Assistance (NAA) Tax Credit, your qualifying gift to Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County could earn you a Delaware State Tax Credit equal to 50% of your gift!

Tax funding is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served, basis.

Welcome Cheris!
We'd like to congratulate our newest member of the homeownership program - Cheris!

Cheris is a Habitat NCC staff member and received the wonderful news of her acceptance from her Habitat colleagues and board members via Zoom.
Habitat NCC homeowner and staff member Ruby is thrilled to be serving as Cheris's support person throughout the homeownership process.

Healthy Homes Statewide Repair Program
We are now accepting applications for the Healthy Homes Statewide Repair program. This program helps low-to-moderate income homeowners in New Castle & Sussex Counties who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-related impact includes job loss, furlough, reduction in hours, household COVID-19 illness/health impacts, and/or increased household burden (i.e. quarantine, schooling from home, etc.). 
 
Repair services offered include but are not limited to:
  • HVAC repair/tune-up/replacement
  • Replacement of old carpets
  • Water heater repair/replacement
  • Plumbing 
  • Weatherization Referral (ECA)

This program is first-come, first-served. For more information or to request an application email repairs@habitatncc.org.

Celebrate International Women Build Week this year with a virtual Women Build Event!

We're asking volunteers to record a Do It Yourself (DIY) How-to-Home Project video.

Video submissions can be sent to Maritza Martinez at volunteer@habitatncc.org.

We will be sharing these videos on our social pages during International Women Build Week, March 8-15.
Homeownership Program Orientation Sessions
Habitat NCC currently has six properties available for homeownership in the City of Wilmington.

Orientation sessions for the month March are:
  • March 13 @ 9 am
  • March 16 @ 6 pm
  • March 24 @ 2 pm

New products at the ReStores

We have some exciting new products at both the Middletown and Prices Corner ReStores:
  • Bed sheets
  • Bamboo pillows
  • LED lightbulbs

These items are priced to move! They’ll be gone before you know it, so be sure to stop in and check them out! We are open Tuesday through Thursday 10 am - 5 pm at both locations.

We accept gently used, clean items donated to the ReStores. All proceeds from the sales of donated items go directly to helping Habitat achieve our mission. To donate your building materials, furniture, and household items, contact us at restoredonations@habitatncc.org or call 302-652-5181.

We accept drop-off donations Tuesday through Saturday 10 am - 5 pm. We also schedule residential pickups for 2 or more large items (all items must be located either outside or in a garage at the time of pickup).
