Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s):

I am pleased to announce that The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough has started the equity audit process with our partner, Mass Insight Education & Research. Throughout this process, Mass Insight will gather and analyze data and evidence around the ways in which students, families, community members, and staff experience the District’s core values and learning opportunities for ALL students.

Throughout this process, everyone’s participation is critical to understanding the ways the District can continue to create more equitable, inclusive, and accessible learning and work environments for each member of our community.

Please complete the family survey linked below in your preferred language by Friday, October 22, 2021. The survey will take less than 15 minutes to complete. This survey is anonymous and will be used to surface trends for the purposes of the equity audit. All identifying information will be removed from written responses.

In this week's communication, I'd also like to highlight the great work of our music educators and the launch of their new monthly newsletter - The Beat. The Beat is a monthly newsletter for the Northborough, Southborough, and Algonquin music programs. The newsletter will highlight the experiences, opportunities, and performances of our District’s music program throughout the school year.

Respectfully,

Gregory L. Martineau
