A Village resident reported that their vehicle was stolen from their driveway located on Woodland Drive at approximately 3:20pm on Friday afternoon, December 15, 2023. The Huntington Bay Police Department is currently working in conjunction with the Suffolk County Police Department 2nd Precinct Detective Squad regarding this occurrence.
Though the circumstances surrounding this particular occurrence are indicative of a targeted incident, it should serve as a reminder to:
*Always remove your FOB / Keys from your vehicle when not operating it.
*Never leave a spare FOB / Key in the vehicle.
*Ensure your vehicle is locked and windows are closed when parked.
*Never leave your vehicle running and unattended.
If you witness criminal, suspicious or otherwise unusual activity, as well as any other circumstance which would require the immediate presence of a police officer, please dial 911. The 911 system is the most effective way to secure an immediate police response.
