Gratitude Gathering Celebration
October 11, 7 pm to 8 pm
It will be a night of joy as we celebrate the blessings of our church and your vital role in supporting our mission.

Please join us as we kick off our Stewardship Season. We promise a fun-filled hour of memories, community, and joy!

Join us virtually on Zoom.

We are offering complimentary petite charcuterie boxes (one per household) for guests to enjoy during our evening.

The charcuterie boxes will be delivered to you by Stewardship volunteers between 3 pm and 5 pm on Sunday, October 10th, or Monday, October 11th. You can choose which date when ordering

Open Table October Series: Stories of Hope & Healing
During these stress-filled days, come hear inspiring stories of restoration from our incredible partners and the people whose lives are shaped by them. We’ll hear from heros working in the areas of addiction recovery, college and career readiness, housing unsheltered neighbors, and racial and economic justice.

Wednesday Night Open Table Meals & Grab N Go
This week, our Community Meal is locally sourced Farm to Table. Tables will be set up outside for people to enjoy their dinner.

Next week, our community meal is Lasagna (Cheese or Beef), Fried Eggplant, Garlic Bread, Mini Tiramisu. Please click here to order the community meal.

Hot Grab-n-go pre-ordered take-out meals will be available for pick from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Meals will now be served hot (not "heat at home" style).

Children's Ministry Hosts Fall Festival: October 10
4 pm to 6 pm
Calling all families and children! Join us for a Sunday afternoon full of fun, games, treats, and outdoor fellowship!

The Festival is on the Covenant campus and will feature a pumpkin patch, games, and carnival snacks. Bikes, scooters, and lawn chairs are welcome!

Upcoming Flu & COVID Vaccination Clinics
Don’t have your COVID vaccination yet? Do you want to get a COVID booster? 

Flu & COVID vaccinations (both initial shots and boosters) will be provided at Covenant by VaxClinic on the following schedule:

  • All Wednesdays in October / November from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

  • Saturday, October 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Saturday, November 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Sign-ups for Impact Youth Basketball Are Open
Covenant is happy to announce that it will be participating in the Impact Youth Basketball League this season. In accordance with safety guidelines set forth by our task force, the league, NCHSAA, and Mecklenburg County all practices and games will be fully masked.

Halloween Costume Drive for The Mezzanine
Calling all Halloween fans!

Covenant's Young Adults will be collecting new and gently used Halloween costumes to distribute to our young friends at The Mezzanine.

Please bring new and gently used (washed) costumes to the labeled bin in the Welcome Center by October 8.
Doing Some Fall Cleaning? Donate Sweaters to Dove's Nest
Please consider donating any gently used sweaters to the women and children at Dove's Nest (Charlotte Rescue Mission). Bins are located in the Welcome Center and sweaters can be dropped off through the month of October.

There are so many projects lined up for Stewardship Sunday on November 14th, that we decided to make it two weeks of service leading up to a final day of service and celebration.

There will be service projects you can do at home, at Covenant, or at one of our partner sites.

Hike with Covenant
October 16, 9 am
This 1.7-mile (one way) Carolina Thread Trail traverses 66 lush, green acres protected by the Catawba Lands Conservancy. The single-track, packed-dirt, natural-surface trail is smooth with only gentle undulations and a few roots to navigate.

Where to meet:
Pharr Family Preserve Trail is located near 9111 Mt. Pleasant Rd. South, Concord, NC, 28205. Follow a long gravel drive to the trailhead parking lot. The trail begins next to the map kiosk.
