One Person Can Make a HUGE Difference

It only takes one act of kindness to change someone’s life. A phone call to JFS from a caring community member asking to sponsor a family in need this holiday season meant the world to a local family of 10.

This simple act of kindness goes beyond the wrapped gifts, showing us that compassion changes lives, both for those giving and those receiving. To our generous donor, thank you for brightening this family's holiday season and showing the benefits of caring and thoughtfulness to another generation. Your kindness has truly changed lives this holiday and given a family in need new hope for the new year.

It’s not too late to change the life of a local family in need this holiday season. Contact us for more information, office@jfsmiddlesex.org or 732-777-1940, or donate online today. Thank you!

Cherishing Tradition:

HAZAK's Chanukah Luncheon for Seniors

Our annual Hazak Chanukah luncheon, a partnership between JFS Middlesex, East Brunswick Jewish Center (EBJC), and the Jewish Federation in the Heart of NJ, united older adults with local preschoolers in a special holiday performance.

Attendees were treated to an afternoon of community and connection, highlighted by a charming performance of Chanukah songs by the talented children from the Center of Early Learning at EBJC. The interactive event reminded both young and old of the beauty of passing down traditions and enjoying the company of different generations.

To join the monthly Hazak program at EBJC, contact us at 732-777-1940 or office@jfsmiddlesex.org. The next event will be held on January 18, 2024. JFS strives to ensure that no seniors go hungry in Middlesex County – please support JFS senior meal programs by donating online at www.jfsmiddlesex.org/donate. Thank you for your support.

JFS Distributes Energy-Saving Gifts from PSE&G

Over the course of 2023, PSE&G has encouraged sustainability by donating energy-saving power strips and water-efficient shower heads. This gift perfectly aligns with JFS’ commitment to both community well-being and environmental responsibility.

JFS has been distributing the power strips and shower heads to Middlesex County residents visiting our Kosher Food Pantries and other programs, helping families conserve energy and save on bills.

We extended our outreach to the participants of our Long Branch Citizenship class who were thrilled to receive these energy-saving devices, adding a sustainable touch to their homes this holiday season. We send special thanks to PSE&G for its commitment to fostering sustainable practices and for partnering with JFS to make a positive impact on communities.

If you would like to help the environment and be more energy efficient, reach out to us at 732-777-1940 or office@jfsmiddlesex.org for a free power strip and shower head. Together, we can contribute to a greener, more sustainable future. Thank you to PSE&G for lighting the way toward a brighter, eco-conscious community!

A New Space To Better Serve Our Community

As we settle into our new space, we look forward to seeing you whether you are returning to JFS or are new to us, all are welcome. Stop by and see us!
