2023 Chamber Wrap Up and 2024 Renfrew & Area Chamber of Commerce Memberships

 

The Chamber would like to extend our gratitude for your active membership in the Renfrew & Area Chamber of Commerce. We deeply appreciate your unwavering support. Together, we proudly represent the Voice of Business in the prominent townships of Admaston / Bromley, Horton, Greater Madawaska, and the Town of Renfrew.

 

Our Chamber remains committed to fostering close collaborations with the Town of Renfrew, the Ottawa Valley Business Hive, the Renfrew Business Improvement Association, the Townships of Greater Madawaska, Horton, and Admaston / Bromley and the Ottawa Valley Tourism Association. These alliances aim to bolster tourism, enhance our business community, and cultivate a thriving economic climate. Our current Board of Directors convenes monthly, both in-person and virtually, to diligently review memberships, circulate the most current information pertaining to the Chamber of Commerce, and engage in meaningful discussions and communicating to benefit our valued local employers. We are currently extending our efforts to communicate with our local businesses and partners in regard to the forthcoming renewal memberships for the year 2024. The Renfrew & Area Chamber of Commerce greatly appreciates and values your membership, as well as your valuable contributions to our community. In the present year, we have made the decision to increase our membership levels by an additional $25.00. This slight increase has become essential due to the escalating expenses we encounter. A concise summary of the events in 2023. Throughout the year 2023, the Board of Directors and valued members of the Chamber have engaged in the following activities:

  • Continuously circulating noteworthy updates pertaining to our members' events and posts on various social media platforms, in addition to sharing valuable links aimed at fostering the prosperity of our businesses.   • Successfully organizing an extensively attended Mayor's breakfast, wherein Jennifer Stewart, a distinguished guest speaker, delivered an enlightening address.
  • Persevering in our commitment to distribute essential resources and pertinent links regarding funding programs that have the potential to bolster your business.
  • Proficiently orchestrating a successful Community Awards Celebration, which witnessed the participation of 130 guests who were afforded the opportunity to witness the exemplary achievements of local enterprises.
  • Collaborating with the Town of Renfrew Parks & Recreation department to host a highly successful Community Showcase Evening.

The Chamber Board of Directors continues to meet in person and by Zoom meetings. Our next Board of Directors Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday January 16, 2024, beginning at 8:00 a.m.in the Town of Renfrew Upstairs Boardroom.

The Chamber office has a large stock of Rapid Antigen Tests and are available. Please spread the word. These test kits are available to everyone in the community. We would like to have them all given out by the end of January 2024.
