It's hard to believe that the end of 2022 is upon us. Hopefully, these past 12 months have been filled with more adventures, concerts, delicious food and happy memories to make up for the past few prior. If you're looking to ring in 2023 in style, check out our latest blog post to read about downtown happenings on NYE. And always remember that being kind to others begins with being kind to ourselves, so be gentle with yourself as we enter a new season.

There are still plenty of ways to celebrate the holidays downtown. Participate in Find Freezie now through December 23 for a chance to win a $25 Downtown Boulder Gift Card. Simply find Freezie in participating businesses, scan his QR code and fill out a Google Form to have your name entered to win! And don't forget about St. Nick on the Bricks, Snow Much Fun and Post Holiday Sales.

Friendly reminder that every Saturday and Sunday year-round, City of Boulder Parking Garages are FREE. In addition, this holiday season, enjoy free parking around downtown in city garages, surface lots and on-street pay areas:

December 23, 24, 30, 31 AFTER 12:00 pm

December 25 and 26, January 1 and 2 all day

St. Nick on the Bricks

Saturdays through December 24 I 11 am - 2 pm

Kids of all ages can visit with Santa for FREE outside on the 1300 Block of the Pearl Street Mall. St. Nick on the Bricks runs Saturdays through December 24 from 11 am - 2 pm. Bring your list and a camera to capture priceless holiday memories!

Join us this season by supporting Community Food Share now or when you come down to visit with Mr. Claus. We'll be collecting non-perishable food items onsite and donations online for our local food bank fighting hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties.

Stumped when it comes to gift giving? The 2022 Downtown Boulder Holiday Gift Guide is here to help! Find inspiration from local retailers like cozy stocking stuffers from Bliss (pictured), gemstone jewelry from El Loro and Colorado accessories from Savvy on Pearl. With over 80% locally owned and operated retailers in the downtown district, there are plenty of unique gift options to choose from this holiday season. And when you shop locally, you uplift the entire community and give back to your friends and neighbors. That's a big reason to shop small!

If you're still struggling with a hard-to-gift person, consider a Downtown Boulder Gift Card valid at over 100 shops and restaurants throughout downtown Boulder. Available in denominations from $10 to $500, the gift card is a one size fits all gift! In order to receive an order before the holidays, please purchase in-person at the Visitor Information Center (open 12 pm - 4 pm daily). Please note that on December 24, the Visitor Center will only be open from 12 pm - 2 pm, and it will be closed on December 25.

Post Holiday Sales

Begins December 26, 2022

Mark your calendars for Post Holiday Sales beginning December 26! With over 45 participating retailers, you can find great deals downtown after the holiday season ends on everything from outdoor apparel and shoes to jewelry and cosmetics.

The most recent edition of Boulder Magazine highlights the importance of shopping locally this season (and always). For every $100 spent locally, roughly $68 to $73 of it returns to local activity. This strengthens our community and defines its character. Plus, when you shop small you develop relationships with business owners and receive outstanding customer service. Snow Much Fun Virtual (AR) Experiences

Now - January 31, 2023

Explore downtown Boulder through a new lens as you adventure through a self-guided augmented reality (AR) tour of the district. Look for 'Snow Much Fun' signage on each block of the Pearl Street Mall as well as the East End and West End and throughout the Civic Area (near the library) and scan the QR codes with your camera phone to access fun filters via Instagram. Follow along on this winter wonderland trail and meet penguins (pictured), polar bears, a snow girl and more as you go!
