Greetings Kodiaks!
We look forward to welcoming our families back on campus next week. Our Upper School students are wrapping up their Experience-Centered Seminars, and we eagerly await the great stories and meaningful memories made. We are happy to report the US kids from NYC Broadway ECS made it home safely before the storm hit the region. And our Panama ECS is on schedule to arrive home tonight!
We welcome all to attend the viewing of the Great Iron Pour ECS postponed to Monday as students show all that they have learned to the broader public. Starting at dusk viewing areas will be provided in the Carriage House courtyard as students pour luminous molten iron into their art molds at 2,600 degrees. Come see this ancient art medium in action!
Save the Date for ECS Parent Night on April 7. Students will present their highlights from these incredible ECS experiences in LPAC, and include a gallery show for Iron Pour sculptures.
As part of 8th-grade students' transition from the Middle to Upper School division, our students are about to take an extended trip to the southern desert in Utah led by Mr. White, Ms. Fuller, Ms. Lindeman, and Front Range Climbing Company. Known as the Walkabout, this experience serves as a time-honored tradition for our students and is often talked about by alumni for decades to come.
Our Roundup & Auction Committee has created a few exciting family events leading up to the main event on April 20th. See below for further details. Line-Dancing Lessons and Western Hat Making anyone? See you all at these great events to support CSS.
We hope you stay safe this weekend, and enjoy our Springtime in the Rockies!
