Dear All Saints Family,
I'm so impressed with the Adult Forum last Sunday as we looked at our recent diocesan convention resolution on the issue of gun violence. The Concerned Citizens team was well-prepared, the assembled group came engaged and ready to wrestle with the issue, and I thought our discussion was fruitful. I hope that those saints with some viewpoints that weren't brought into the conversation might consider connecting with the "Citizens" group, to expand the awarenesses in play. I am also grateful for the worship prayer shared with us last Sunday by our dear friends Suzanne and Lynne Scott Constantine. What a meaningful way to come at such a challenge in our world, speaking to both the tragedies and the overarching, empowering ways of God to shape us as instruments of divine peace. May this be so in us O Lord.
I see three happenings on the immediate horizon to touch on: first is the realization in me and others, that our weekly email blast could be simplified and made more concise, for starters, with less duplication of the information that appears both here and in the linked worship bulletin. I want to try some alterations in what we prepare each week, in hopes of improving the "blast" whilst freeing up the office to address other ministry needs. In today's email our printed prayer list (of those in illness or other need) will be found only in the worship bulletin. The list of "Those Who Serve" for the upcoming Sunday will be found only in the worship bulletin. We'll start with these changes and see how this works for all of us. This is an experimental phase and I welcome your thoughts as we move along.
Third, I'm happy to say we're in for a treat this Sunday with a reflection in worship from photographer and writer Eve Turek.
Last, our Vacation Bible School adult team and our curriculum are strong and ready for a wonderful 3-day children's faith experience. We want and need your help in promoting this in our community. If you can share the news with anyone you know with children or grandchildren we welcome and thank you for your support! See the flier below for more information.
What a joy for me to be part of life and faith with such a gifted and grace-filled community of disciples as are YOU!
Gladly,
Rev. Cindy

Spirituality Circle Notice
|
"The Circle is everyday ceremony: the invention of our most ancient Godmothers, who upon witnessing the myriad ways nature exalted this humble shape, claimed it as the spiritual center of their communities. Held by the simple rituals of opening & completion; honoring & appreciation; the Circle acts as a vehicle for both storytelling & transcending our stories. In Circle, we are conversing with the divine.” ~ Baraka Elihu
Our All Saints’ Spirituality Circle is a diverse lot and open to women with a broad range of beliefs and practices. It is everyday ceremony and a place for telling our stories and transcending them. It does require commitment, confidentiality and shared leadership. It is not a therapy group nor is it a place for chat and entertainment. That being said we laugh a lot and develop close friendships and support. The In Person ‘All Saints Circle’ meets two times a month on the second and fourth Mondays at All Saints at 4:00 sharp until 5:30 in the Choir Room. July and August meetings are open to all women who want to find out what we are all about or who might be interested in joining us. It is also a great time to explore how you might create a new circle. We’d love to have Sister Circles.

Door Locks Update
In order to comply with our Model Policies, cypher locks are now installed on the exterior sanctuary building doors, and key access to both buildings will be disabled. These new locks should work the same way as the locks on the administration building. Entry codes will be available for all those who have been screened, and others may obtain codes upon request and completion of screening. Codes that parishioners currently have for cyber locks will continue to work for both buildings until early August. In early August, codes will be disabled for those who have not been screened. Anyone who has not been screened and would like to retain their code needs to kindly send an email to Bob Riche. sailorbob75@gmail.com

This summer has been extremely busy for the pantry. In June, in just two days, AS volunteers served nineteen families, a total of thirty-five individuals. Other churches are meeting these challenges as well. Because of this rise, we will now be assigning an additional volunteer each session. AS will be volunteering again in August, on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and will need to recruit three volunteers for each day. Many thanks for donations of food items and paper bags, much needed and appreciated. Donations have considerably decreased but the need has not. Please donate, if able, to support our community.
Please contact Sue Lynch to sign up to volunteer or to ask any questions you may have.
