GRAND LAKE FAMILY YMCA
The Parkinson's Support Group meets on the second Thursday each month at 2:00 p.m. The meeting is open to YMCA members & non-members. Caregivers are encouraged to attend. If you or someone you know has Parkinson's, there is a Parkinson's Combination Exercise Class and Speech Therapy Class that meets every Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 in the YMCA's downstairs group fitness room. There are chair exercises for the body and speech exercise to strengthen the voice and the muscles used for swallowing. The class is free.

GRAND RIVER SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS
Interested in a career in the live sound engineering field? Grand River School of Performing Arts currently has openings for sound engineer trainees at live shows in the NE Oklahoma region. You'll get hands-on training from a seasoned professional who has more than 35 years of experience working with big name bands and traveling the world. GROVE CONVENTION AND TOURISM
The Grove Ice Rink is open November 24th - Dec. 31st every Friday 6-10 PM, Saturday 3-10 PM, and Sunday 3-8 PM. Cost is $5 per person and includes skates. A huge thanks to Grand Lake Family YMCA for running the Grove Rink and coming up with some new ideas. There will be a holiday movie on each Saturday and available times for Private Parties on Fridays 3-5 and Sat/Sundays 12-2. Come downtown and enjoy the fun on the lawn at City Hall across the street from Grove Area Chamber.

GROUND BREAKING
Grand Lake Family YMCA
Tuesday, December 12th, was an exciting day at the ground breaking ceremony for Phase I of the new 8215 sq. ft. Gymnasium project at the Grand Lake Family YMCA. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and optimism, with supporters, hardworking employees, and dedicated board members all coming together. Russell Mosburg, Fr. David Bridges, Adrian Arnold, Debbie Bottoroff, Ben Coffey, Butch Christy, Tom Sanders, and Jay Alexander spoke expressing their gratitude towards everyone involved, highlighting how this new addition will positively impact the community by providing health and wellness resources for all. The project also include renovation of the Kid's Zone and the parking area. Everyone attending expressed sincerest thanks to those who have made this ambitious project possible.
