Grants Reaching New Indigenous Groups
SaskCulture grant programs are reaching even more new applicants. The Peer Review Panels just finished up reviewing grant submissions to both the Aboriginal Arts and Culture Leadership Grant (AACL) and the Multicultural Initiatives Fund (MIF) this spring. After assessing all submissions, we noted that, of the 52 submissions to AACL and MIF, 40% were from cultural groups that were new SaskCulture grant recipients. Also, a good sign that the in-person engagement is increasing, many of the projects (approximately 65%) funded, included larger gatherings and focused on bringing people back together. Check out the fall deadlines to find out more about these grant programs.
