During the church remodeling project and the effort to bring Nadia to Restoration, Session worked to keep the congregation informed on our work and path forward. After a brief hiatus, we will be bringing updates (at least monthly) on what Session is working on.
  • Nadia has been leading Session on examining our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Relying on much of last year’s focus group feedback, there has been a lot of discussion, open dialogue, and of course prayer for where God is leading us as a church. We are working on guidance on how to best execute on our strategic plans developed out of the results of the focus groups you participated in last spring. We are leaning heavily on God’s will in all of this! We will continue this work in October and expect to begin sharing our next steps and providing guidance on ministry, outreach into the community, teaching the congregation on sharing our faith, and learning to trust God in all things. We are excited about this ongoing work. Expect to hear more on this soon. Remember, it is ALL about the Great Commission, making disciples for Christ!
  • Communication has been an ongoing concern, especially in these Covid times. Session is seeking to facilitate more communication (hence this update) between Session, staff, Deacons, Teams, and congregation. Expect to see more on this soon.
  • We will be a part of a new presbytery beginning in January 2022. Our current presbytery will be splitting into three new ones. We will now become a part of the Coastal Mid-Atlantic Presbytery.  Scott McGregor, Ruling Elder and Coastal Mid-Atlantic Moderator, hopes to be visiting churches in the new presbytery soon. Please pray for our new presbytery and our new leadership!
  • The search for a new Worship Director continues with recent interviews. We have heard from presbytery that many other churches are also struggling to find suitable candidates to fulfill this very important role. Please pray that God will lead us to His choice to fill our open position soon.
  • We expect to soon present candidates for elders and deacons to begin serving in January. Please pray that God continues to provide strength for the folks He has been leading to serve in these key leadership roles.

Discover Restoration is an informational experience designed to share more about our mission, beliefs, leadership, and ministries. Our church leaders and staff will be on hand to tell
you all about our church and answer any questions you may have. More importantly, we’ll get to know each other by sharing how God has worked in our lives.

Discover Restoration takes place over two distinct sessions on October 17th and 24th . Each session will last from approximately 11:15-1:00 and include lunch. Childcare for kids elementary and under is available by request.

Participants unable to attend both sessions can schedule a make-up session with a pastor.
