My mom was my first love, my first role model and first female entrepreneur that I ever met. She is our family’s rock! My love for her runs deep! I thank her for giving me life and giving me the confidence, courage and conviction to live life on my terms and be comfortable in the skin that I am in. Free-spirit.. that’s me.

A very happy belated Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful mothers in our MWBE and Aero-Ba-Soul, Inc. family, friend and client network. We hope that everyone did the best that they could to show appreciation and love to their mothers here on earth and those who are no longer with us, live within us and in spirit. Gone but never forgotten!

I was blessed and grateful to visit my mother, father and hosts of relatives this weekend in Mt. Pleasant, SC. It‘s been months since I saw them so I was truly happy to see them all. Last year, my family had to overcome many losses and challenges. We are a praying family and do our best to lift each other up.

I was glad to also attend the 50th birthday celebration of one of my favorite cousins, my cousin Salima whom I also call my sister. She and her sister Nekida are more like sisters than cousins to me. We celebrated Cousin Salima’s 50th BDAY at my Cousin Bev’s new event venue, A&B Event Center. FABULOUS. My cousin Bev rocks! Congratulations cuz!

Kevin was blessed to visit his mother locally on Mother’s Day and present her with a beautiful, tranquil, floral arrangement specially designed by our dear friend, client, entrepreneur, business owner, the fabulous Sherry Grimes Jenkins. Owner of EMY Events and Sherry’s Yoga! Kevin’s mother absolutely loved them! Kevin’s mother is very special to him. And she is very special to me too! We are both blessed to have much love and a great relationship with our mothers-in-law!

Our very good friend, client, floral designer extraordinaire, Sherry Grimes-Jenkins, floral designs will be up from May 9-16 in front of Stella 34. Sherry is proud to be a local floral designer. Her Botanical Gardens training and Barbados roots exude in her wonderful floral designs. We love purchasing her products over and over again! You will too!

Sherry Grimes-Jenkins has loved flowers since she was a kid gardening in her native Barbados. She’s cultivated that interest, learning floral & plant design at the New York Botanical Garden. Then, Sherry opened EMY Custom Flowers in 1999, where she creates beautiful bouquets for all kinds of special events & occasions with blooms from around the world.
