February 24th, 2021
This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

A Call to Rejoice

What if the LORD didn’t make today? Have you ever thought about that? Can you imagine?

This is the day the government has made; be skeptical.

This is the day your family has made; be patient.

This is the day your boss has made; be responsible.

This is the day your friend has made; be content.

This is the day you have made; be fearful.

But the government didn’t make this day, we all know that would have had to go through endless bureaucratic hoops with various ideologies controlling the decision making. The day wasn’t made by your family either, though it would be made with love I’m sure. The day wasn’t made by your boss, even though she may be a micromanager. Your friend may have given their best effort, but they can’t make a day either.  Sorry, you didn’t make this day, you’re not qualified, neither am I.

REJOICE! Thankfully our LORD made this day, TODAY! Let me rejoice as we celebrate each breath knowing it is a gift from God! God Bless this day the LORD has given each of us.

See you Sunday I can’t wait!

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
