GET READY FOR CS WEEK 2021!
CS Week remains your partner for unbiased educational opportunities, forums for networking and the sharing of innovative best practices that will advance the customer experience. Set your plans in motion to REGISTER and BOOK YOUR HOTEL ROOM for Tampa, FL. We will continue to update www.csweek.org and provide timely information via emails regarding any changes to precautions and recommendations.
These pandemic times require vigilance, situational awareness and quick responses. What we all know is this: today’s recommendations from the CDC and local health officials will change tomorrow, and tomorrow’s recommendations will be updated before the August 16-19, 2021 live, in-person CS Week conference experience.
Please rest assured. Your safety and peace of mind are Priority 1 as we plan and execute our events and activities at the Tampa Convention Center and nearby locations. Together with TCC and our designated hotels, CS Week will fully comply with local recommendations and respect your individual preferences.
Here are today’s highlights:

What the Future Holds Is Definitely Not on Hold
Led by Dave McKendry of the CEA and Board of Directors' Member of CS Week, dozens of utility and industry leaders from across North America gathered for the first of seven 2021 monthly webinars on May 18. Via a Zoom meeting, those involved in the challenges and issues of the electrification of transportation gathered to hear Dan Bowermaster, Senior Program Manager with the Electric Power Research Institute.
Watch for a full feature in the Summer 2021 Newsline spotlighting Bowermaster’s webinar entitled, “EV Models and Modes of Transportation – What the Future Holds!” There, you can also get a full picture of the Electric Vehicles Customer Experience Forum monthly webinar lineup that continues through November.
Congratulations, Dave and the EVCx Forum advisory panel members for a great start. We can’t wait to see how the Forum develops into one of trusted colleagues, sharing best industry practices, utility success stories, tips to deploy and pitfalls to avoid.

Hers is a face you’ve probably seen and a voice you’ve possibly heard at previous CS Week conferences. Pressley has been a member of its Planning Committee for several years and has been vital in facilitating content and curating speakers for various workshop tracks and synergy groups. She personally has presented and moderated sessions numerous times. Pressley’s day job is at JEA, Jacksonville, Florida’s community-owned utility for electric, water, sewer and reclaimed water customers.
After serving in progressively more responsible positions at JEA, Pressley was recently promoted in February 2021 to become JEA’s Chief Customer Officer. She is the Sunrise Event keynote message on Wednesday morning, August 18. Her message promises to be insightful and compelling. Visit Sunrise Event in July to see her title and read several objectives that will convince you that an early start on Wednesday is the place you want to be. Reserve your spot for the Sunrise Event with your Conference, Key Account Forum, Executive Summit or Synergy Group registration. Grab the Attention Your Utility Wants with "By Appointment Only Consults/Demos"…
In Person or Virtually
CS Week’s vast Exhibit Hall can seem intimidating to Conference newbies and even to those who arrive knowing their game plan to visit exhibitors.
One of the best ways to grab the attention your utility wants to discuss upcoming projects, system implementations and technology replacements is to schedule appointments for private consults/demos. There, between 9:15 am – 11:15 am on Wednesday and Thursday, vendors take a dive into system functionality, share utility case studies and discuss integration opportunities. Appointments are typically not dedicated to just your utility, but you and your colleagues can gather, watch a demo, ask questions and learn if this solution could meet your current or upcoming needs.

For questions about the live, in-person Exhibit Hall or CS Week’s newest offering, its 2021 Virtual Exhibit Hall, please contact Shawnna Ansley at 903-821-8648.

August 17, 2021
8:00 am – 3:00 pm
CS Week is thrilled to provide Smart Energy Water and its current and prospective customers a chance to talk, listen and learn together. Tuesday’s only vendor-sponsored Synergy Group offers nine content-rich sessions and includes breakfast, breaks and lunch. This interactive platform enables utilities to see trends, hear about enhancements and anticipate new functionalities on the horizon for some of the largest, most critical systems in their technology portfolios. Likewise, this day-long platform allows Smart Energy Water to show and tell success stories, to build comradery among its clients and to provide the candid exchange of ideas that characterizes CS Week’s Synergy Groups. Visit SEW to see their planned agenda along with the vendor resources and utility partners who will deliver this information-packed day. Fees are complimentary for SEW customers and prospects.
