Hello Colt Families,
On Tuesday and Wednesday, CVMS will be hosting a Hot Chocolate Bar during lunch periods with all proceeds benefitting the Foster Farm Animal Shelter. For a $1 donation, students will be able to enjoy a warm cup of cocoa with friends while supporting a great cause for this school-wide service project. We encourage and greatly appreciate your student's support.
Last week, we held another series of "Colt Time Character Sessions" presented by 7th-grade teacher Mr. Locke and Officer Bruner. Mr. Locke spoke to 6th and 7th graders during Colt Time about the effects of bullying, whether it be in person or virtual. Scenarios were presented to show how bullying is a lose-lose situation. We hope that students will continue to choose kindness, a win-win situation. Kindness is King at CVMS!
Students participated in an extended homeroom period last week for a "PBS" Day with a theme that focused on Respect, Responsibility, and Integrity. During this session, CVMS students spent time with their homerooms watching a presentation and holding discussions that addressed ways to show and promote respect, responsibility, and integrity. We hope that these valuable lessons resonate with the students and provide insight into lifelong traits that will help them continue to become the best version of themselves.
Spring sports are gearing up and the middle school is currently recruiting students in 7th & 8th grade that are interested in Swim Team and Track & Field. Students were sent sign-up forms in their emails.
We are incredibly proud of the hard work and talent that goes into our Student Newspaper, A Dose of Colt Coffee.
