Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,


The deadline for submitting an enrollment application for next year is tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Please share this information with your neighbors and friends who may be interested in submitting an online application. While we anticipate accepting students at each grade level before the end of the summer, the highest number of spaces available are in grades 5 and 9.


This evening, from 6:00-6:30 pm, the Massachusetts Charter Public School Association (MCPSA) will host a virtual kick-off rally via Zoom to usher in the start of its annual Charter Public School Advocacy Week! Advocacy Week is an opportunity for charter public school families from all across the state to come together to raise their voices to ensure every child in Massachusetts has access to the education and resources they need to succeed. We would love for you to join this event and represent our school! Register now and tune in tonight to learn more about how you can get involved throughout the week.


This morning, we released another view of current second term grades for students in their courses through the Community Portal. Please note that these grades will be unlocked for a limited amount of time and can be viewed on the Community Portal until Wednesday, February 14 at 8:00 a.m. Students and Parents/Guardians can use the print screen option on their computer (windows optionmac option) to capture this release of current grades.

Upcoming Events

Monday, February 12 - Friday, February 16: The Massachusetts Charter Public School Association (MCPSA) will host a statewide virtual Advocacy Week. This evening, from 6:00-6:30 pm, the MCPSA will host a virtual kick-off rally via Zoom.


Tuesday, February 13: The deadline for submitting an enrollment application to Rising Tide is February 13 at 3:00 p.m. If you already have a child attending Rising Tide and plan to enroll another child for the upcoming year, you must submit an enrollment application by the deadline to have your child included in the lottery.


Tuesday, February, 13 - Thursday, February 15: The middle school student leaders will hold a bake sale to support Boston Children's Hospital - Miles for Miracles Run.


Thursday, February 15: The Annual Enrollment Lottery will be held in a public forum at 9:00 a.m. at 59 Armstrong Road in Plymouth. The event will be live streamed.


Monday, February 19 - Friday, February 23: School will be closed for February Vacation.


Monday, February 26: The Rising Tide Board of Trustees will have its monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. This meeting is open to the public.


Tuesday, February 27: A representative from Bridgewater State University will be presenting about the college search process to students in grade 11 at 12:55 pm.


Thursday, February 29 & Friday, March 1: Auditions for the spring musical, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, will take place after school from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.


Thursday, February 29: The second pre-departure meeting for those registered for the Ireland Trip will take place at 6:30 pm in the Atrium.


Wednesday, March 6: Rising Tide will host Accepted Students Day in the afternoon for students newly admitted for the 2024-2025 school year and their families.


Thursday, March 7: Rising Tide will host a Spring Meet the Coaches Night at 6:00 pm in the Atrium. Families will have the opportunity to meet the spring coaches and receive information about the upcoming sports season.


Wednesday, March 13: This will be a full-day professional day. School is closed for the day.


Wednesday, March 14: STEM Night will take place at Rising Tide beginning at 6:30 pm. All students and families are welcome to enjoy STEM-related activities.


Thursday, March 21: Rising Tide will host a College & Future Planning Night for juniors and their families at 6:00 pm in the Atrium.


Wednesday, March 27: The second pre-departure meeting for those registered for the Trip to Italy will take place at 6:30 pm in the Atrium.

Deadline to Apply to Rising Tide for the 2024-2025 School Year is Tomorrow at 3:00 pm

The deadline to apply for enrollment at Rising Tide for grades 5-12 for the 2024-2025 school year is tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. All applicants, including siblings of current students, must submit the one-page application by the deadline to be eligible for enrollment. The application is available both online and through a paper form. Students can apply online by clicking here. Students can also download a paper application here, or get an application at the Main Office of the school. Completed paper applications can be faxed to (508) 747-1826, emailed to admissions@risingtide.org, mailed, or dropped off to the front desk.


Please share this information with your friends who may be interested in applying. Applications for grade 5 and grade 9 have the highest chances of acceptance.

This Week is the MCPSA's Advocacy Week

Spring Musical Play Auditions Take Place After Break

Auditions for the spring musical play, You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, will be held Thursday, February 29 and Friday, March 1 after school from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Crew interviews will be March 7 from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Packets for both can be picked up in Room 103 (Upper School Theater Room) and Room 264 (Middle School Dance/Theater Room) and are due back by February 29 for actors, and on March 4 for crew. All students in grades 8-12 are welcome to audition or interview for the backstage crew.

Flowers for Friends

Middle school student leaders and upper school Student Government members will be selling flowers during lunches on Monday and Tuesday this week. The flowers purchased will then be given out on Wednesday during Advisory.

Bake Sale This Week

Middle School student leaders will be hosting a Bake Sale this Tuesday, Feb. 13, Wednesday, February 14, and Thursday, February 15. All proceeds will be donated to Boston Children's Hospital - Miles for Miracles to support medical programs for children. All items will cost $1.

Middle School Spirit Week is This Week

Rising Tide to Host College Planning Night for Juniors 

We will host a College Planning Night for grade 11 students and their families on Thursday, March 21 at 6:00 pm in the Atrium. This will serve as an introduction to the college process and feature a lively panel of admissions representatives from different kinds of colleges who are all looking forward to answering questions. Confirmed to date are representatives from UMass Dartmouth, Wheaton College, and Cape Cod Community College. 

Rising Tide's Athletics Store is Now Open

Rising Tide's School Store is now open for students and families to purchase school merchandise. The store will be open until midnight on February 26.

Design the 5K T-Shirt

Students are invited to create the 5K t-shirt design. Those interested should create their design on this form and return completed designs to the mailbox outside of Mrs. Kincade's office, Room 132, on the upper school side of the building. All entrees are due by March 1. The winner will receive a T-shirt and free registration into the race!
