Proposed Scottsbluff Aquatics Center -
Public Input Sought
First steps are being taken as the community works together to make a long awaited new aquatics center a reality. The Scottsbluff City Council entered into an option agreement for the exploration of a site to house a proposed community aquatics center. The site, located north of 27th Street, will be within walking distance of the original Splash Arena which closed in 2019 and Scottsbluff High School. In December of 2021, the Scottsbluff City Council approved putting a measure on the November 2022 ballot for a half cent infrastructure sales tax which will provide funding for the aquatics center. The City of Scottsbluff will operate the new aquatics center in partnership with Scottsbluff Public Schools and the Scottsbluff Family YMCA.
The survey is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/sbaquatics and will remain open until March 23rd. You can also scan the QR to start the survey.

Results of the survey, as well as preliminary project details, will be shared at two town hall meetings that will take place in late April.
