Principal's Message

It has been a year for the record books! As this is our last Gazette of 2020-21, I'd like to end with a heartfelt thank you to all of our families. Whether you collaborated with us on our in-person safety procedures or reorganized your lives to support children with remote learning, we could not have thrived as much as we did throughout this year without such a fantastic partnership between our students, parents, and school staff. Thank you for supporting us and supporting your children during a trying and uncertain year.

We have been busy looking for silver linings and thinking about how next year, and future years, will look, by trying to keep an eye on those positive changes that were brought about by the pandemic. We have all learned some valuable lessons and we'll look to incorporate those as we return more toward "normal."

We look forward to receiving guidance from the state throughout the summer to help direct our procedures for the fall. We are all hopeful that we can bring back some of our beloved community events and welcome parents and visitors back into our buildings. Stay tuned for updates as we move closer to August.

Your next formal communication from Greenbriar will be classroom teacher assignments and welcome back information which will arrive via email on the afternoon of Friday, August 6th. Until then, enjoy your summers. Stay safe and healthy!

With many thanks,
Ginny

Remote Learning Academy News
Dear RLA Parents,

You are a special group of parents who have lived the ups and downs of an entire school year literally beside your children. We are grateful for everything you did to help at home, while juggling all of your regular responsibilities, to ensure we could provide a new way to educate your children.

Thank you for helping to teach your child perseverance. Thank you for stepping in when needed and stepping back as required to help your child grow into a more independent learner. Thank you for your ever-present support for our staff so that they could do magic with your children. None of us were sure how this year would go (since living through a pandemic was new for all of us), and none of us could have imagined how extraordinary our teamwork would be.

We wish you a wonderful summer and well-earned break for you and your children. We look forward to seeing you back at school next year!

Gratefully,

District 28 Administrators and RLA Staff
