Dear saints,
Several years ago we had to move out of the rectory of the church I served because the home needed some remediation for mold. Because it was caused by a leak, the insurance company paid for us to stay in a beach-front property and a couple of resort hotels in town. We called it our "mold-cation." It was fun for a while, the novelty of it all and so on, but we were ready to move back in when it was all over. Well, my friends, it is not all over quite yet, but we are indeed ready to move back into our beloved church buildings this Sunday after a "stay-cation" of our own. Fourteen and a half months later, it’s time to head on back to the block, push through those church doors and settle back in. It will be a little different than how it used to be, at least for a while longer, but it will be a homecoming all the same. And for those of you who have joined All Saints’ during the months of this pandemic, it is a delight to be able to share this special place with you for the first time. Welcome home.
Peace,

The Journey with the Rev. Karen Evans
Wednesdays, 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Zoom
The Bible is full of journeys: short, long, searching, moving, fleeing and more. Things happen on these journeys: lives are changed, new directions are found; and through it all, "the feeling remains that God is on the journey, too” -Teresa of Avila. The Journey is a Bible study exploring the biblical journeys and what they have to say about our own.

A huge thank you to Hank Harris and Comer Yates. These two stalwart formation teachers have lead another fantastic class for our 6th and 7th graders. Overcoming all technological obstacles, they fostered a feeling of community and togetherness that I wouldn’t have thought was possible through a screen. These two fellas perfectly blend together biblical literacy and open discussion, sagacity and humor, wisdom and wisecracks, all within an hour on Zoom. So next time you see them, let them know how much they’re appreciated.
