April 5 deadline for RSVP

Graduates must have a ticket to enter the in-person event. They will also want to record their name so that it's pronounced correctly in the virtual ceremony.

The virtual ceremony online via Facebook and Youtube

The virtual ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. on May 1 and will be livestreamed on Facebook and Youtube. You'll be able to join in via chat and congratulate your graduates. You do not need a Facebook page to see the event.

This year graduates are being encouraged to submit photos, a personal quote and videos to include with their slides. The deadline for that is April 15.

Faculty gauntlet and parade information

Join us in helping to celebrate our graduates!

Please let your faculty know we'll be sending out information and an RSVP form soon for faculty to submit videos for the virtual ceremony faculty gauntlet (by April 9) if possible, and we encourage them to come out in their regalia to support graduates along the parade route (attached) from the Patty Center up Tanana Loop to Yukon Drive and then back on Tanana Loop to exit on Farmers Loop. Staff are also encouraged to join us in celebration of our graduates!

The drive-in celebration and graduate parade on campus

It will take place Saturday, May 1 at 9:30 a.m. Graduates must have their tickets to enter the staging area in the Patty parking area via Thompson Drive. This event is more festive than formal. We've arranged to have a festival stage and an LED screen for and will have a condensed version of the commencement ceremony and include this year's student commencement speaker.

Join a Club!

A big part of college life is getting involved in things that you're interested in. Not only do you get a chance to make a difference or submerge yourself into your hobbies, but you get to do it with other, like-minded people who have similar goals in mind. Those friendships that you create may be just the thing you need to forge ahead.

Due to our current situation with the virus, some clubs may be held virtually and others in-person with a limited amount of members. Although it may be not be the same experience face-to-face, it is still a great way to connect with others and get involved in clubs you are interested in.
